Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

  1. When an Author submits a manuscript to MJA, the manuscript must be an original work. If the Authors have used the work, this must be appropriately cited and quoted. The same applies to the work of others.
  2. Manuscripts must be submitted in English and written according to sound grammar and proper terminology.
  3. Authors must not submit to MJA the same work, in whole or partially of their work to two or more places of publication at the same time or at any time. A single study should not be split up into several parts to increase the number of submissions and submitted to various journals or to one journal over time.
  4. Before submitting a manuscript to MJA, Authors must withdraw articles under review with any other journals or any article uploaded to any platforms. Any manuscript uploaded to any platform would not be considered by MJA. Moreover, suppose the manuscript contains materials that overlap with previously published work. In that case, that is in the press or under consideration for publication elsewhere, the Author must cite this work in the manuscript. The Author must also inform MJA's Editor of the related work and send the manuscript to him/ her as needed.
  5. Authors should not resubmit a manuscript to MJA that was previously submitted to MJA and “Rejected” by MJA; MJA would not reconsider it. If MJA rejected the earlier version with the decision of “Rejected and Resubmit,” and the Author wishes to resubmit the revised version, this fact and the justification for resubmission should be clearly communicated by the Author to the Editor of MJA at the time of submission and should be declared in a cover letter.
  6. The submitting corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all the other coauthors have approved the manuscript article's publication.
  7. Authors are obligated to participate in a peer review process to evaluate manuscripts from others to sustain the peer review system.
  8. It is also the author's responsibility to ensure that the manuscripts emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution.
  9. The authors must permit editing of the paper for readability before submitting it.
  10. Authors are requested to clearly identify who provided financial support for the research and/or preparation of the manuscript and briefly describe the role of the founder/ sponsor in any part of the work.
  11. In case of multiple authorship, a copyright release form must be signed by the corresponding author before the manuscript is accepted for publication. This ensures that all authors are legally responsible for the Journal's ethics and privacy policy.
  12. Under an open access license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content but allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy the content as long as the original authors and source are appropriately cited.
  13. All authors have agreed to allow the corresponding author to serve as the correspondent with the editorial office to review the edited manuscript and proof.
  14. When the author(s) discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher to retract or correct the manuscript.
  15. All authors must know that the submitted manuscripts under review or published with MJA are subject to screening using Plagiarism Prevention Software. Plagiarism is a serious violation of publication ethics.

All authors must ensure that all authors have read the submission final checklist before being submitted to the MJA

  2. Governing Body: MJA has an extreme editorial board whose members are recognized experts in the subject areas included within the journal's scope. The full names and affiliations of the journal's editors are provided on the journal's Web site (https://ojs.uomosul.edu.iq/index.php/magrj/Editorial-Board)
  3. Contact information: Journal provided the contact information for the editorial office of MJA (https://www.magrj.mosuljournals.com/journal/contact.us).
