Self-Esteem and its Relation With Study-Acquisition for the Secondary Student Girls of Al-Motamayzat Secondary School in Mosul City

There are statistical differences between acquisitional surpassings and the ordinary level of the student for the benefit of the first group in the Self-Esteem understanding.2. There are statistical differences between the ordinary level of girl student and the backward students for the benefit of the first group in the Self-Esteem understanding.3. There are statistical differences between the acquisitional surpassings and the backward students for the benefit of the first group in the Self-Esteem understanding.To investigate the correct of these hypotheses, the researcher chose the fifth class student of Al-motamayzat secondary school in Mosul (2005-2006).The total number of students for research was (106). The researcher used the Self-Esteem measurement which was intended by Yamama Muhsen Ali in her thesis Building of Self-Esteem measurement for secondary school of girls 1998. It is the nearest measurement to this research, As the measurement had been intended in 1998 for secondary girl students and the research is applied in Al-motamayzat secondary students (2005-2006) The researcher found that the measurement was quite correct as he displayed its paragraphs to expert committee of education and psychology to be sure that is quite sound for Al-motamayzat secondary school.The measuremen consists of (53) paragraphs,(28)of them were positive and (25)were negative.The theoretical score was between (53-265). The researcher depended on repeating the test to count the Reliability dealer value. The measurement was repeated to apply on sample (30) students girls of fourth class in Al-motamayzat secondary school, after the first measurement application with aduration of two weeks. By using Persons Reliability dealer value between the first and second application, it became (0.89)The researcher also has used the sufficing acquisition measurement to study the relation between Self-Esteem and the sufficing acquisition.He chose three groups to represent the sufficing acquisition they are: surpassings acquisition group, ordinary level group, and backward students group as the following:A. Fixing the students mark average which they obtained in the first term examination and the middle year examination (2005-2006).B. Arrange the students according to their marks a verge.C. Choosing the upper quarter to reresent the surpassing acquisition and the down quarter to represent the backward students, and the remainder represent the ordinary level students and also they are chosen according to their marks a verge.D. In order to make chance factors less the researcher demanded from three teachers to investigate about the upper quarter which represent the backwards acquisition to follow particular trial the teachers use them to value the student performance and fix her marks for the first four months of the (2005-2006) year. After realizing hypothesis the research has reached these results: that scorerising on the Self-Esteem understanding accompany with the score rising of acquisition indicates to the dealing between the Self-Esteem understanding and acquisition-score. This sort of dealing is straight, thats to say, the positive Self-Esteem understanding rises as acquisition score.
