Number in the Holly Qura'n :A Semantic and Linguistic Study

. . . . .The Holly Qura'n , in its glorious language and interesting structures is an enrichment for so many studies. The structure of the Holly Qura'n includes many secrets which should be studied carefully to be revealed . Number has its own features . The hearer may misunderstand the meaning if he does not get the word . This paper aims at revealing the semantics of number so that the subject can be divided in four sections proceeded by a vision of the concept of number and its position in Arabic language in order to prepare for the entry into these sections. The first section is devoted to the semantics of textual Number. The second concentrates on the semantics of the doubted Number. The third studies what equals Number : it is the omitted interpreter . The last section explains the omitted interpreter, but with nothing that leads to its meaning.
