Abstract

(43) (21) (22) / (2007/2008) (23) / / , / .The present research aims at investigating the necessary skills needed by the supervisors of practical education at the College of Basic Education according to the viewpoint of Psychological and educational Subjects. The sample consisted of 43 teachers, 21 females and 22 males among those Who teach psychological and educational subjects, University of Mosul for the academic Year 2007 -2008. The tool of the study is represented by a questionnaire prepared by the researcher and consisted of 23 items . The validity and reliabity were confirmed . The data were analyzed using the estimated mean . The results show that the Sample gave good responses for all the instruments items specially the skills which emphasizes the student / teacher cooperation in the preparation of daily plan. On the bases of the research results, the researcher provided a number of recommendations, Of these recommendations is the emphasis that the supervisor of practical education should possess the necessary skills to supervise student teacher and the recomended conducting of a study to know the extent of those to which those supervisors are able to apply the necessary skills to supervise student teachers in practical education .
